The intention connects the measurement technique with the plastic treatment on the basis of textile structure integration. For this, embroidered strain sensors (DMS) will be developed, which are showing a very high utilization potential during the application and integration of Structural-Health-Monitoring (SHM)-systems in dynamic loaded plastic components. Such sensors allow the identification of rotor blades in order to protect them from overload.
Potential possible applications of embroidered measuring systems:
• Composite-carrying structures for robots and handling systems
• Orthesis
• Carrying structures in plant construction
• Facade elements
• Vehicle structures
• Control of the building
• Rotor blades of wind engines
The embroidered sensors will have the possibility to be a concurrence for the classic DMS, additionally there is the possibility to develop new market segments in measurement technical field of application, e. g. large-scale sensors.
